EVAN THOMAS engineers water and life support systems for NASA spacecraft. Since 2002, he has volunteered with ENGINEERS WITHOUT BORDERS as a sustainable development engineer in Nepal, Rwanda, Mexico and Afghanistan. Evan is currently executive vice-president of MANNA ENERGY, LTD., applying his knowledge about water purification systems to a program in Rwanda that uses solar energy to provide clean water. Manna Energy wants to improve the lives of one billion people in the next ten years through social entrepreneurship. It is the first organization to design a project that would generate a continuing stream of income through the award and sale of carbon credits.
The Boulder Expedition Supports the Watershed School Scholarship Fund.
The Watershed School is committed to maintaining an economically diverse school community and is proud that more than 40 percent of our students receive financial scholarships. Thank you for your generous support of this worthy cause.
The Watershed School’s mission is to provide a rigorous and meaningful education that challenges students to know and care for themselves, their community, and their world. Our vision is that Watershed graduates are sound critical thinkers, responsible citizens, and live lives characterized by integrity, compassion, and curiosity. In keeping with the mission of our school, our events feature keynote speakers who exemplify and model those qualities critical for responsible citizenship.
