Financial Assistance

At Watershed School we seek the best fit between the school and student, and strive to make the school accessible to as many families as possible. We are committed to maintaining an economically diverse school community and are proud that more than 40% of our families receive financial scholarships every year.

The Process

1. School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS)

The first step in the financial aid application process is to submit an application to the School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS), a third party organization which will look at the big picture of your finances and help assess an amount that your family is able to pay for tuition. Watershed School will use that amount to begin a conversation with you about financial assistance and payment options. Please contact Jill Grano at 303-440-7520 x102 to learn more about SSS and how to apply.

2. Once financial assistance eligibility is determined, Watershed School offers three ways to help families make reasonable financial arrangements:

  1. Educational Loans.
Watershed School partners with Sallie Mae – the nation’s leading provider of private student loans – to offer loans to families who are pursuing financial aid options.   To learn more about Sallie Mae educational loans, please visit www.salliemae.com/k12loan.

  2. Workstudy
We offer a limited workstudy program that provides an opportunity for students and parents to work in exchange for tuition. Please contact us to learn more about our workstudy program and how you might get involved.

  3. Scholarships
If loans and workstudy do not cover the full amount of financial need, Watershed School is able to provide a limited amount of grants and scholarships. Scholarships are awarded with the expectation that a student will meet and exceed all expectations of scholastic work and community participation. Funds are limited, so we suggest you enter the admissions process early if you anticipate needing a grant or scholarship to attend.
