Andrew Chernow

Math Educator

Andrew has a BA in Physics from the University of Colorado and a Masters Degree from the University of New Mexico in STEM secondary education.  He started as a physics and AP physics at Highland High School in Albuquerque, NM for two years. Andrew then came also Physics, Algebra 2, Math at Nex+Gen Academy High School, an innovative charter school in Albuquerque, NM, where he also served as Math and Science Chair for 5 years. While at Nex+Gen Academy, he was named STEM Teacher of the Year city-wide. He has led two international trips to Europe as well as a two week long backpacking trip into the Grand Canyon. 

Andrew was born in Boston and moved to Boulder at 1 year old.  He is a graduate of Boulder High and likes to cycle, tele mark ski, climb peaks, backpack, cook, and attend music festivals.
