Emily Norman

Drama Educator



Emily holds a BA in Theater and Dramatic Literature from Wheaton College and a MA from New York University in Educational Theatre in Colleges and Communities. She has continued to study theater internationally at the London Academy of Theater, Trinity College in Dublin & Shakespeare’s Globe and in Connecticut at Eugene O’Neill’s National Theater Institute.

Emily is very involved in the theater community and is the Founder & Director of Education at Acting Out Theater Company. She has worked as a Crisis Intervention Actor, and is involved with the Mizel Center for Arts and Culture, the Denver Center for Performing Arts, Kidstage, Kids Eye Theater and Mirror Image Arts.

Originally from New Hope, PA, Emily has lived in every US time zone before settling in Boulder. She enjoys spending time with her local family, volunteering at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley and hanging out with her theater-dog Tate, who manages to lay down and ignore all of the chaos found in rehearsals!
