Job Openings at Watershed School

Join a team of outstanding educators at Watershed School in Boulder, Colorado.  We have two openings, one for a high school science teacher and the other for a middle school science teacher, for the 2012-2013 school year.  Our educators work collaboratively to design interdisciplinary curriculum based on essential questions and engage students in projects of meaning.  The high school will be studying such science topics as physics, biomimicry, biodiversity and chemistry in mixed age group settings.  The middle school will be studying earth science and environmental science in a year-long study of energy. Educators also work with a small advisory group, engage in a wilderness orientation, a Global Citizenship May Term, and teach 3 electives over the course of the year.   These full time positions begins August 6th, 2012.  We are looking for creative, energetic and passionate individuals to join our innovative school.

Minimum qualifications include teaching experience, an educational background that includes teacher training, and content specialization in an area of science.  Wilderness or outdoor group leadership experience preferred.

Are you interested in supporting students' academic needs?  We have openings for tutors in our after-school Homework Help Club on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:00 to 4:00PM.
