Dave Elmore

Assistant Head of School

As the Assistant Head of School, Dave works closely with the leadership team to fulfill the mission of the Watershed School. Dave has worked in the field of experiential, placed-based education for over fifteen years, serving in both domestic and international school settings. As a school leader, Dave has focused on program development, risk management and overall operational excellence in order to achieve our strategic priorities. In the course of earning his undergraduate degree, Dave discovered global education, which was a catalyst for working at the nexus of international travel and education. Dave's passion for education, travel and adventure has served as a foundation for his career in experiential education and the spark to pursuing adventure and wonder. 

Attending the University of Oregon, Dave earned a B.S. in Psychology and subsequently has earned a M.S. from Denver University. Previous adventures include international guiding on all seven continents and most recently, Antarctica and Tanzania. Dave's interest in community development led him to serve on the board of directors at a small adaptive climbing organization based in Boulder.
