Gillian Kennedy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Villanova University, where she also minored in math, before working in the industry as a Structural Engineer. She soon decided to become a teacher and earned her Master of Arts degree in Teaching Math from Boston University. Before moving to Boulder and joining Watershed, she taught math and computer science at Samuel Fels High School in Philadelphia, PA.

Gillian grew up in Fairfield, CT and has lived in the Philadelphia area for the last 9 years with the exception of one year in Boston for graduate school. After her whole life on the east coast, she now lives in Boulder with her partner Nick. Gillian enjoys traveling, especially her trips to the Great Smoky Mountains, Nashville, Chicago, Mammoth Cave National Park, Shenandoah National Park, Costa Rica, and Panama. When she’s not teaching, Gillian enjoys camping, skiing, baking, watching the New York Yankees, and attending Villanova Basketball games.
