An experienced fundraiser and educator, Julie has more than two decades of demonstrated success in nonprofit philanthropy, relationship building, strategic thinking, and problem-solving. Julie’s fundraising experience includes development of annual giving and alumni programs, major gift and planned gift work, capital campaign leadership, and grant writing. Julie has served on the Board of numerous small nonprofits and is currently vice-chair of the Board of Directors of Paradox Sports, an adaptive climbing organization in Colorado.

Before joining Watershed, Julie was the Director of Development & Communications at the Civil Rights Education and Enforcement Center in Denver. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Development and Campaign Director at The White Mountain School, NH where, during her 20-year tenure, she held other administrative positions including Dean of Students and Academic Dean. She also served on the science faculty of St. Paul’s School, NH and Blair Academy, NJ. Julie graduated magna cum laude from Smith College and later earned a Master of Science degree in Education from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Outside of work, Julie enjoys time with her husband and two adult children. She loves the outdoors, spending as much time as possible hiking, running, and camping, and also appreciates curling up with a good book, a cup of tea, and her two cats.
