We have a new Home!

Watershed is moving to a new campus in July, 2024! Our new home on Spine Rd. in Boulder offers vibrant & flexible learning studios, small & all-school gathering areas, room for modest growth, and a location that supports Watershed’s research-based, future-focused, community-centered curriculum.

why is watershed moving?

Watershed’s new campus provides:

  • an intentionally designed, mission-driven campus to support our mission-driven program;

  • enough space for us to meet our growing enrollment needs, allowing us to offer the Watershed experience to more students; and

  • a home of our own for today’s students and generations of students to come.

Our new home supports the programatic and facility needs identified through a multi-year, inclusive visioning process. Finding a permanent home for Watershed is an integral part of our Strategic Vision.

Anchored in Community

Watershed’s new campus is comprised of two buildings- 5400 & 5405 Spine Rd. | Boulder

Watershed is committed to working with others to build a future that is more just, more sustainable, and more compassionate.

We are moving to a mixed-use area about 12 minutes northeast of our current location. We’ll be close to Community Partners and outdoor & open space areas with convenient access to Hwy 119, allowing students to engage in the fieldwork that is central to our program. Our new location, just off the LOBO bike path and the Diagonal Highway, is easy for families to reach from locations across Boulder County.

what will it be like?

Designed for Watershed’s flexible, vibrant program, our new campus will have:

  • large, open science, art, and maker spaces;

  • seminar/study spaces;

  • flexible studios/classrooms with plenty of breakout space for collaboration and individual study;

  • a full-community gathering space, indoor & outdoor play spaces; and

  • expeditionary fieldwork staging areas.
