Locke Hassett

Locke holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Education from Prescott College in Arizona. He received this degree in 2019 after a long hiatus from college, while he traveled, worked as an outdoor educator, raft and mountain bike guide, and bicycle mechanic. His other professional pursuits have included writing and photography, and he has worked as a formal and informal educator for nearly 10 years of combined experience. Locke thrives around energetic and inquisitive students, and loves a good laugh.

Locke grew up in rural Western Montana, and has lived in most Western states for at least a season while working in and exploring the outdoors. He and his partner Katherine moved to Boulder from Arizona in 2021 with their two cats. Outside of the classroom you can find Locke exploring public lands by pedal, paddle, or foot, or at home cooking and making music.
