We’re thrilled to welcome Charlene Heydorn to the Watershed team as our new Family Experience and Front Office Manager!
Charlene steps into this role with a dynamic blend of administrative experience, leadership, and a deep commitment to community support.
Charlene brings over six years of administrative expertise spanning nonprofit, for-profit, and educational sectors. She began her journey as the founder and director of Redeeming Love, a nonprofit residential program supporting survivors of human trafficking. Most recently, she served as the Administrative Coordinator at Neighborhood Homework House, an educational nonprofit supporting K–12 students. Her background in office management, human resources, financial oversight, and organizational compliance positions her perfectly to support the daily operations that keep our school running smoothly!
Charlene comes to us by way of Southern California’s LA Basin, where she was born and raised. Colorado was always a place of frequent visits—and with all three of her children, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren now living here—she knew it was time to make the move permanent. A lover of the outdoors, Charlene enjoys running, hiking, thrifting, cooking, and welcoming loved ones into her home. She’s an also an endurance athlete and coach, working with Masters-level runners, and has served as a forest fire lookout volunteer and a coordinator for Leadership USA, a wilderness-based leadership program for teen girls. She’s thrilled to be planting new roots and building community in Colorado—and we’re equally thrilled to welcome her to Watershed! One of her favorite quotes, which beautifully reflects her approach to life and work, is from Mother Teresa: “Do small things with great love.”
Charlene’s unique combination of heart, skill, and adventurous spirit makes her a perfect fit for the Watershed community. You’ll get to know her quickly as the friendly face at the front desk, so be sure to say hello! Please join us in giving her a warm welcome!
