What could be more Watershed than connecting through people and places?
Questions of, “Have you seen...?” “What’s … up to these days?” “Where are you heading next?” dominated the happy hour-style reunion at Watershed on May 28th. While we can’t possibly to capture everything, here are a few snippets:
Allie Corradino ‘20 is heading off to France for graduate work in international finance; her brothers, Gabe ‘18 and Dominic ‘17, are in graduate school and working locally.
After completing the Teacher Preparation Program at Friends School and earning her master’s in education, Carly Gilbert ‘16 will be pursuing her teaching career.
Maia Wheeler ‘22 and Violet Cameron-Webb ‘22 are both back from the East Coast for the summer and will head back to finish up college in the fall (majoring in dance & journalism; environmental science respectively). Joshua Houck ‘23 is back from the midwest and will return in the fall to continue his bachelor’s in chemistry.
Lee Stayton ‘23 will soon be heading to China with his dad, (and Watershed educator) Pablo, and plans to stay there for a study abroad program.
Ari ‘23 and Liran Dor ‘21 are coming from and heading back to college; Ari for aerospace engineering and Liran for graduate work in engineering. Meanwhile their mom, Keren, continues to travel regularly to and from her homes and family members in Israel and Colorado.
Abby Dahlstrom ‘23 is pursuing a ceramics internship this summer with our very own Jeff Osgood.
Elijah Potter ‘23 hopped on up from Golden, CO where he’s currently living. Harper, the English grammar app (open-source alternative to Grammarly) that Elijah founded, was recently acquired by Automattic. Elijah is working as a code wrangler for Automattic.
Claudia Hendricks, former Watershed educator, is just back from a Watershed May Term course in Guatemala and is pursuing graduate work in Family, Culture, and Youth Studies.
Donovan Cash ‘17 is back in Colorado from the southeast and continues to help others in the safety and fire management sector.
After spending time in the community gathering space of the East Building, catching up with each other and refueling (featuring delicious empanadas from Rincon Argentino), most of the more than 20 alumni at the reunion headed off to explore the rest of Watershed’s new campus, many with tour guide extraordinaire and Watershed educator, Andrew Chernow and some adventuring on their own.
Weren’t able to make it to this year’s reunion? We still want to see you! Stop by to say hi and see what we have going on here at our new campus on Spine Rd!
