A MOSAIC FOR BLUE SKY BRIDGE
In the upper school Mosaics class, students partnered with the Blue Sky Bridge organization (a nonprofit dedicated to child abuse prevention and education) to design and create a large-scale public mosaic. The piece was envisioned as something more than visual - something that could offer a moment of beauty or a sense of hope to children and families, as well as those who work with them, facing uncertain times in their lives.
Chris noted, “I think what defined this partnership was that in the past we've had our own goals as an art department, and the organization we're working with has their own goals, and we try to find a middle ground for the project. I think that with this project, we had a lot in common, as we're both advocates of young people and the potential of young people.”
